Welcome to Uhuru VPN! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Uhuru VPN website and VPN services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Uhuru VPN Team. Please read these Terms carefully.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.

1. Service Description

Uhuru VPN provides virtual private network (VPN) services via the Outline protocol, allowing users to establish secure connections through our servers. The Service is provided "as is".

2. User Accounts

Account registration (using email/password) is required for paid services.

You must provide accurate information and keep it updated.

You are responsible for password confidentiality and account activities.

Notify us immediately of unauthorized use via support@uhuruvpn.com. We are not liable for losses due to your failure to secure your account.

3. Subscriptions, Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds

Subscription Plans: Access to the VPN service requires an active paid subscription. We offer various subscription plans (e.g., monthly, semi-annually, annually) with different durations and prices as displayed on our website at the time of purchase.

Payment: You agree to pay all applicable fees for the subscription plan you select. Payments are processed through third-party payment processors. You authorize us and our payment processors to charge your chosen payment method for the selected subscription term. All fees are in USD unless otherwise stated.

Automatic Renewal: To ensure uninterrupted service, your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period for the same duration (e.g., monthly renews monthly, annually renews annually) at the then-current price, unless you cancel it beforehand. You authorize us to charge your payment method for these renewals.

Cancellation: You may cancel the automatic renewal of your subscription at any time before the end of your current billing period. You can manage your subscription and cancel renewals through your Personal Cabinet on our website.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Monthly Subscriptions: All payments made for monthly subscription plans are final and non-refundable. If you cancel your monthly subscription's automatic renewal, you will retain access to the Service for the remainder of the current monthly billing period you have already paid for. Your access will cease after this period ends.

Semi-Annual and Annual Subscriptions: For subscriptions with a duration of six (6) months or twelve (12) months, you may be eligible for a partial refund upon cancellation, subject to the following conditions:

  • Refunds are calculated based solely on the number of full, unused calendar months remaining in your subscription period at the time the cancellation request is processed.
  • The calendar month during which the cancellation occurs is considered fully used and is non-refundable, regardless of the cancellation date within that month. There are no refunds for partial months or unused days within the cancellation month.
  • The refundable amount will be calculated by determining the pro-rata monthly value of your subscription (total subscription cost divided by the number of months in the term) multiplied by the number of full, unused months remaining after the month of cancellation.

Example: If you have purchased a 12-month subscription and request a cancellation after 6 months and 3 days have passed, the first 7 months are considered used. You will be eligible for a refund corresponding to the value of the remaining 5 full months (months 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12).

Effect of Cancellation (Longer Plans with Refund): If you cancel and receive a refund, your access to the Service will continue until the end of the last fully paid, non-refunded month (i.e., the end of the calendar month during which you cancelled).

Effect of Cancellation (No Refund / End of Term): If you only cancel the automatic renewal without requesting a refund, your access will continue for the entire duration of the originally paid period.

Refund Requests: To request a refund for an eligible subscription, please contact our customer support at support@uhuruvpn.com. Refund requests must be submitted before the expiry of your current subscription term. Please note that any transaction fees associated with the original payment may not be refundable.

The refund is carried out within 7 business days to the details from which the payment was made or the details that will be provided by the client upon request.

Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription fees. We will provide reasonable notice of any price changes (e.g., via email or website posting) before they take effect. Price changes will apply only to subsequent renewal periods.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful or prohibited purpose. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

  • Engaging in any illegal activity under applicable local, national, or international law.
  • Transmitting any material that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Infringing upon the intellectual property rights of others (e.g., using the Service for illegal file sharing of copyrighted material via BitTorrent or other P2P networks).
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any system, network, or account.
  • Distributing viruses, malware, or other harmful software.
  • Engaging in spamming, phishing, or denial-of-service (DoS) attacks.
  • Interfering with the proper functioning of the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Reselling or commercially exploiting the Service without our express written permission.
  • Sharing your account credentials or access keys with others. Each subscription is for individual use.

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in the suspension or termination of your account without refund.

4a. Personal Use and Non-Transferability

Each subscription is licensed for individual, personal use only and is non-transferable. You may not sell, share, rent, sublicense, or otherwise provide your account credentials, access keys, or connection information to any other person or entity. Any attempt to transfer or resell access will be considered a material breach of these Terms.

Uhuru VPN reserves the right to monitor the number of concurrent connections associated with your account solely for the purpose of detecting unauthorized sharing. If excessive simultaneous connections or other indicators of account sharing are detected, we may suspend or terminate the account without refund.

5. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for your conduct while using the Service and for any consequences thereof.

You understand that while Uhuru VPN enhances privacy and security, it does not guarantee absolute anonymity or protection against all threats. You are responsible for your own online security practices.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including the website, text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Uhuru VPN Team or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service according to these Terms.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

Uhuru VPN does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or meet your specific requirements.

We do not guarantee specific server speeds or availability, as these can be affected by factors outside our control (network congestion, server load, your ISP, etc.).

Uhuru VPN does not control or endorse the content accessed through the Service and is not responsible for third-party websites or services.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Uhuru VPN Team, its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, or licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Service; or (c) unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account and stop using the Service at any time by cancelling the auto-renewal in your Personal Cabinet and letting the current paid period expire.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Your Country/Jurisdiction, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect (e.g., via website posting or email). By continuing to access or use our Service after revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
